Day 22—Weigh-in Day December 7, 2009

My friend (?), the scale

Here she is again: my frenemy, the scale. Some days she’s really nice to me; others, not so much. Today she’s inching toward the positive side of my “I like you” meter. Although the drop in weight is simply regaining lost (Thanksgiving) territory, I’m encouraged! Weight lost is weight lost. And now that the Thanksgiving leftovers are finally gone, I can feel good about the heft and content of my dinner plate.

I do feel better than at this blog’s outset. There’s a bit less tum in my tummy. And my energy level is definitely up. The tendonitis in my shoulder—the object of four months of physical therapy—is even much improved due to the strength built by the physical exertion.
