Day 25—Self-image December 10, 2009

You've heard the saying, "You are what you eat"? Think about: "You are what you wear."

As I was reading my Facebook status updates a while ago, I saw this post from a friend:

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

What great advice! I know I feel 180 degrees different when I’m in my barn clothes and heaven-knows-what’s-on-’em boots, wearing no makeup and my hair in a ball-cap-covered pony tail than I do when I’ve showered, fixed my hair, put on makeup and dressed in “normal” (read: non-horse-smelly) clothes.

Don’t you think self-image has everything to do with whether we take that bite—or two or three—of something we don’t really need to eat? I do.

So the next time you’re feeling fuddy duddy and cruddy, pull out a super outfit and put it on. You’ll feel like a new you. The best you.
