The three Ds I’m referring to are Depression, Discouragement and Deprivation. They’re the reasons many of us eat. And eat. And eat.
The three Ds are usually the result of discontent or disaster of some kind. They can drag us to the doldrums …
OK, enough with the Ds already. I’ll just say that yesterday wasn’t the best I’ve had lately. And, it was a truly terrible day for those touched either directly or indirectly by natural (or other) disaster.
I’ll also say that in my opinion, falling off the weight-watching wagon may sometimes be a necessary process. But that’s OK if we get back up and avoid wallowing in that wagon’s wheel ruts.
I maintain that a personal relationship with our maker is our way up and out of the mire. So if you’re turning to food to ease emotional pain, turn to spiritual food instead. It’ll fill you up. And it’s fat- and calorie-free. 🙂
